OUR MINISTRY

We actively support a Diocesan summer camp program at Camp Bishopswood, located in Hope, Maine.

Opportunities for involvement in worship services, as an acolyte, choir member, or with the altar guild.

Christ Church actively participates in many community-based programs, such as:

Jump-Start Program – a court-alternative program for first-time juvenile offenders of non-violent crimes.
Contributor to local food pantries.
Host for the In A Pinch community program. This program distributes non-food items to the poor in Biddeford.
National Church programs, such as the United Thank Offering and the Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief.
Alliance for Family Healthy; teen-parent support group.

Christ Church offers many opportunities for involvement in the service and work of the church. Opportunities include:

Committee Work
- Worship Committee – works with the rector on defining the worship of the parish.

Facilities/Capital Improvements Committee – primarily responsible for the physical facility, completing repairs and making recommendations for work/improvements.
Finance Committee – provides financial oversight for the parish. It consists of the rector, senior warden and the treasurers.
Outreach Committee – to be redeveloped, responsible for coordinating the outreach efforts of the parish, investigating needs and organizing responses.
Adult Formation - plans & conducts classes for members which enhance spiritual growth.
